Green Acres Student Body Steps Up To Help

Under the leadership and direction of Green Acres Middle School Student Activities Advisor Kristen Lilly-Porter, the Green Acres student body has been busy this year responding to a number of important community needs.  Every month, they have a different school-wide community service event.

Most recently, they raised $1,020 for the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund.  In August and September, they raised $9,000 for Relay for Life.  In October and November, they collected 900 cans of food and donated it to Emergency Aide for the hungry.  In December, they collected 80 coats and delivered them to the Salvation Army for the winter season!  They are planning their next major fundraiser which will be a cell phone drive for the Women's Shelter of Visalia during the months of March and April.

Congratulations and thank you to Green Acres for their generous spirit and commitment to community service!
