Visalia Unified School District formed an Attendance Area Boundary Committee in May 2018 to bring recommendations to the Board of Trustees for the elementary school boundaries in the northwest quadrant of the District in anticipation of the newest elementary school opening in August 2019.

Prior to the development of the California School Dashboard, our focus was primarily on getting kids to graduation, ensuring that those who wanted to go to college met all the entrance criteria for the school of their choice, and helping all other students have some chance of landing a job.
Over 800 Tulare County students from 39 schools submitted entries for the annual Tulare County Farm Bureau Calendar art contest. For the contest, students were asked to submit original artwork depicting this year’s theme, “Tulare County Agriculture…Growing Good Things.”
Each year, California Association of School Transportation Officials (CASTO) holds a poster art contest for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The winner of this year’s CASTO Chapter 14 contest is Gabriel Legoretta, an eighth grader at Ridgeview Middle School.
After months of preparation and weeks of competition, Redwood High School’s Mock Trial team has much to celebrate. Congratulations to Redwood High School’s hard working Mock Trial Team and thanks to their dedicated teacher and attorney coaches!
Visalia is proud of its quality K-12 education, with a foundation of 38 traditional elementary, middle and high school campuses. Visalia Unified School District stays abreast of technological changes and secures funding necessary to build new campuses to keep up with Visalia’s strong population growth.
