Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is a system approach that allows schools to improve school safety and promote positive behavior.  It also provides the framework for schools to decide how to respond to a student in a positve manner who misbehaves.    

vPBIS requires effort from all staff members

vBehavior expectations must be explicitly taught

vAppropriate behavior must be acknowledged

vConsistent use of school’s discipline procedures
