This includeds early intervention services for pre-school students starting at age three, services for school-age children in grades K-12, and transition services for eligible students up to the age of 22.

Letter to Our Community
Dear VUSD Special Education Community,
As we are adapting to the new challenges brought forth by COVID-19, we wanted to reassure our community and all of our stakeholders that VUSD is committed to supporting students with disabilities during this difficult time.
The Special Education Department has collaborated with Student Services to ensure that all of our students have equal access to distance learning. Families will be receiving a Prior Written Notice (PWN) that outlines the supports the District will be providing through Distance Learning Instruction. Your teachers and service providers will be reaching out soon to speak with you about your students specific services.
During this trying time, we ask that you stay healthy and safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please call 559-730-7581.
Sincerely,
Carrie Stephens
Administrator, Special Education
