There are several reasons for your 11th grader to take the CAASPP State Test. They include: ● Providing High School Juniors the opportunity to qualify for the Early Assessment Program to California State Universities through the CAASPP. ● Family access to student reports in their home language. ● Providing students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with the appropriate accommodations and modifications. ● Ensuring that the district meets all state and federal monitoring expectations. Tulare County has been re-designated from the purple tier to the red tier. This was due to new Blueprint tier assignments that were announced on March 14. The red tier assignment does not change the need to enforce mask-wearing, social distancing, not gathering in groups, etc. Grades 9-12 will return to in-person instruction on March 25, 2021. The schedule for in-person instruction is attached. VTEC is planning a Freshman Orientation for ALL 9th grade students on March 24, 2021. The flyer for this event is also attached. We look forward to your return to in-person learning.
VTEC High School is pleased to announce the Class of 2021 Graduation ceremony will be held in-person for all our graduates following social distance guidelines. The date is June 3, 2021 at VTEC High School from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. More information to come soon.”

For the Spring 2021 Semester, VTEC will have a different schedule for the students on (Full Distance) Learning "Edgenuity". Students will be encouraged to log into their different classes throughout the day and work on their subjects for a period of time and then check in with their VTEC support teacher. The attached schedule shows the Asynchronous Work Time which is time for them to work independently and then the Check In Time, which is when they need to check in for attendance and assistance. Visalia Technical Early College High School is excited to announce to launch our NEW Early College Pathway. The Early College Pathway is an opportunity for students to begin earning college credits during their high school years. Students pursuing this pathway must show strong academic skills in middle school and have a desire to accept the rigor of college course work. Yearbooks will be going on sale at the beginning of October. We will be having several “drive-thru” Yearbook pre-sales starting Thursday, October 1st from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Yearbooks will cost $50.
For your convenience, the VTEC Enrollment Packet is online. It includes the Emergency card, Information Card and Student Residency Form. You can fill them out on an electronic device, (like your students Chromebook) save it and email it to Mrs. Roebuck at Kroebuck@vusd.org. We hope this process is helpful.
