    This scholarship is open to unmarried dependents of active duty personnel, reserve/guard and retired military members or survivors of service members who died while on active duty or survivors of individuals who died while receiving retired pay from the military may apply for this scholarship.       • Tulare County School Board Association

    Award Amount:  $350


    Tulare County School Board Association will award a $350 scholarship to a deserving high school senior.  Applicants must meet the following criteria: cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher, good citizenship, participation in extracurricular activities, community involvement, and enroll in an accredited institution in Fall 2018. Applicants must submit a one-page statement describing educational and career goals, a student activity sheet and an official sealed transcript with the application.  The application must be typewritten or printed in black ink.     Eligibility criteria is as follows: students must be age 21 or younger, and reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming.     In order to apply students must be a high school senior, plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the entire 2017-2018 academic year. Students must plan to major in a course of study that focuses on Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business related programs of study (a list of eligible majors is available on their website). Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
