    • Martin Macias Scholarship

    Due: April 1, 2018 - by 5 p.m.

    Award Amount: $1000

     

    Martin Macias Honorary Scholarship will award a $1000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior.  Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a current or former English Learner HS graduate in 2017, must meet local or state criteria for the Seal of Biliteracy.  Applicants must also submit an essay describing your educational experience as an English Learner in California public schools, including career goals, community and school involvement and special/unique circumstances you would like to share.     • Rotary of Visalia - Red Sand Project Art Contest/Scholarship

    Due: April 1, 2018

    Award Amount $500 & $1000

     

    The Rotary Clubs of Visalia are holding an ART Work contest.  The winner will receive a $1000 college scholarship and have their work featured on event advertisement.  Two honorable mention winners will receive a $500 college scholarship.  Art work will be displayed at the Fox Theater the night of the event.  A PDF file application is located on the Scholarship webpage.  All application forms with your created artwork must be submitted by April 1, 2018 at 5 p.m.  Artwork should feature the theme of human trafficking awareness and prevention.

     

    • Elbow Creek Hall Scholarship

    Due: April 4, 2018

    Award Amount: $500

     

    A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to a High School student who has demonstrated academic achievement and been active in community service for the advancement of the rural setting in America. Student must meet the following criteria: a senior in good standing, minimum 2.5 GPA, and be active in the promotion of the rural setting in America, and plan to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited academic institution. Applicants must complete an application; submit a two-page essay, and an official transcript. Seek application on webpage  

     

    • Sun Pacific Scholarship

    Due: April 7, 2018

    Award Amount: varies

     

    Sun Pacific has announced their 2018 scholarship. Sun Pacific will award five scholarships, three to four-year accredited university and two to any accredited trade school or community college. (Applicants cannot apply for both)  Applicant must be graduating seniors, have a parent or guardian who has worked for Sun Pacific for at least two seasons. Selection is based on academic performance, leadership ability, community service, personal interview and financial need. Applicants must complete an application, submit an essay outlining career goals, submit a copy of SAT or ACT test scores and official transcript, and provide two letters of recommendation. Applications must be received or postmarked by Friday, April 7, 2018.   Seek application on website.

     

    • Read for Life

    Award Amount: $500

     

    Students must be a graduating high school senior in Tulare County, have a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer service outside of school, which focuses on improving literacy in Tulare County. They must also have a cumulative GPA of 2.5, plan on attending a college, university, or trade school in the US and submit two letters of application.     • Tulare County League of Mexican-American Women

    Tulare County League of Mexican-American Women has announced their annual scholarship. Applicants must meet the following criteria: be a resident with a permanent address in Tulare County, plan on entering a postsecondary institution for the 2017-18 school year, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.  Must submit an application, financial data and family background form, student autobiography, two scholarship recommendation forms, official transcripts, courses currently in progress.  Applications on website All applications including recommendation forms, must be postmarked no later than April 8, 2018.  

     

    • Sequoia Chapter - Triple X Fraternity

    Sequoia Chapter has announced their annual Triple-X Fraternity of California

    The Sequoia Chapter of the Triple X Fraternity (located in Visalia), is offering up to four $2000.00 scholarship awards to deserving graduating seniors for the 2017-17 school year.  Students must meet the following criteria: be of Armenian descent, US citizen or permanent resident, graduating senior of a Tulare County high school, enrolled in college for Fall of 2018, and provide a two letters of recommendation.  Retrieve application on website.  All applications including recommendation forms must be in the hands of the Scholarship Committee by April 14, 2018.

    Students applying must complete an application packet (typed or hand-written in blue ink). The packet includes a cover page (provided by Proteus), a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.     • Tulare County Cattlewomen

    This scholarship is based on academic achievement and leadership skills. Students must be planning to pursue an education in the agriculture industry with a livestock emphasis. The scholarship application will be uploaded to your google docs and will be forward once the website once available.

     

    • Sigma Phi Alpha Sorority - UC Berkeley

    Applicants must meet the following criteria: Female High School Senior with a GPA of 2.50 will attend a vocational school, junior college, or four-year institution in the upcoming fall semester of 2018. Applications are evaluated on the following:  Academic Achievement, Two letters of Recommendation (non-family member), Personal Statement, and Community Involvement & Family need.  Application must also include an Official Transcript and a typed three page double-spaced Personal Statement.     California Women For Agriculture Tulare-Kings Chapter will award up to $5000 in scholarships this year. Students meet the following criteria: be a graduating senior from a Tulare County High School, planning to attend college in fall of 2017, have a cumulative 3.4 GPA, majoring in agricultural field of study, provide verification of college admission, be an active participant in a local agriculture organization or have agricultural work experience, and be a U.S citizen.  Applicants must complete an application, 2 essays; provide two reference letters and current transcript postmarked by April 15, 2018.  (Please see “Checklist for CWA Scholarship Application” before sending) Application on website
