  • Interested In Singing For The Incredible GWHS Choir?

    Are you interested in singing at Golden West next year in one of our award winning choirs? GW students not currently in choir who wish enroll in choir next year can sign up for Beg Soprano/Alto Choir or Bass Clef Chorus which are un-auditioned choirs and open to everyone on campus. Students wishing to sing next year in an auditioned ensemble such as Advanced Treble Choir or Blazer Choir may audition for Mr. Raheb at anytime at lunch before March 30.   • Got Talent? Try Out For The Annual GWHS VAPA Showcase

    Got talent? Share it with your school! Do you; sing, act, play an instrument, dance, do magic, or have any other hidden talent? We are looking for the most talented Blazers to perform in the annual VAPA showcase. Auditions will be held Friday 2/28 after school.

  • GWHS Key Club Host Teens for Jeans Drive

    Teens for Jeans donation drive is happening now until February 28th. Bring your gently used jeans to your 2nd period class. Join the effort to help those experiencing homelessness and you’ll get a 20% off coupon for Aeropostale. The 2nd period class donating the most will earn free donuts. Also, all the jeans donated will stay local, donated to the Visalia Rescue Mission Shelter. Click on the article for more information.

  • Are You Ready For The Visaila River Run?

    This year the Visaila River Run is Saturday, May 9th. The Visalia River Run takes runners along the beautiful St. John's River Trail. Both groups will head to Cutler park for an out and back. On return the 5k runners will head back in to Golden West to conclude their race while the 10k runner continue on to Ben Maddox. The 10k runners will make a loop at the St Johns Riverwalk Park and head back to Golden West. Click on the article for more information.

  • CSF Application Are Now Available

    CSF APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN MIDDLE OF THE BUSINESS BUILDING (B-3/B-Lab). You must attach a copy of your previous semester report card (Fall 2019 Grades) or a copy of your transcript to your application and pay $5. Checks should be made to Golden West CSF. Applications along with payments are due in MIDDLE OF BUSINESS BUILDING on Tuesday- Friday, February 11 -14 during LUNCH ONLY.

  • Seniors - Updated Grad Nite Ticket Sales Info!

    Tickets are still available on the webstore (with credit card) and at the finance office (cash or check). The tickets will continue to be for sale during lunch and before/after school until March 3rd . You must have a completed permission slip and student ID to purchase your ticket. Tickets are $240.     Golden West's Ella Niederreiter and Jonathan Cruz were the recipients of the Tulare County "Pursuing Victory With Honor" Award from the Tulare County Office of Education Charater Counts program. Mrs. Edwards has had the students do a variety of projects, that have to do with some kind of construction, to keep them engaged and learning about building.   • Two Way Dual Immersion Program Survey

    Visalia Unified School District is considering the opportunity to begin a Two Way Dual Immersion Program in the 2020-21 school year. The Two Way Dual Immersion Program is a distinctive form of dual language education in which balanced numbers of native English speakers and native speakers of the partner language are integrated for instruction so that both groups of students serve in the role of language model and language learner at different times.
