Congratulations to the varsity boys basketball for defeating Redwood 59-48 on Tuesday night.  The Pioneers held a previous 4-0 team in the WYL to only 14 first half points, getting 10 tough rebounds from Zach Scattareggia in that big first half.  Leading the way for the Pioneers on offense were Carter Glick with 18 points, Juvon Manzanales and Keith Bailey each with 9, and Scattareggia, Dominic Pineda and Joey Saavedra each with 6 points.  Special shout out to Matt Ledesma for hitting a HUGE 3-pointer at the end of the 1st quarter.  Next up for the Pioneers is Golden West, tonight in the Mt. Whitney gym, varsity at 7:30. Staff and students, amazing show of Pioneer Pride Tuesday night in the MW gym, the largest crowd the boys basketball team has seen in a long time.
