    Is a basic introductory course on home food preparation and personal nutrition.  Topics include: nutrition, health and fitness; food safety and sanitation; food preparation techniques; meal service and etiquette.  This introductory course is the first in our Food Service and Hospitality pathway offered here at Mt. Whitney.  Upon completing this course, students may take our advanced classes, such as Culinary Arts 1 (formerly, Food Service and Hospitality), and Culinary Arts 2 (formerly, Baking and Pastry)
