The biggest changes are that VTEC will begin at 8:30 AM and that there is no longer a morning nutrition break. VTEC was unable to offer a morning nutrition due to the later start and start and federal guidelines. Breakfast will still be served before school, until 8:20 AM.break

Parents and Students....... Please see the attached letter regarding the 2022-2023 VUSD Dress Code. This will be the dress code used at VTEC this year. Students will be expected to fall the dress code while on campus or while involved in VUSD recognized activities.
Parents..... The 2022 Summer Round-Up is August 4th, 2022. This is an opportunity for students pick-up schedules and books and turn in school forms. We hope your student can attend on this day. We also hope our parents can attend the Freshman Parent Orientation in the morning during the Freshman Orientation.

One of the VTEC 6 C's is character. Part of having good character is being on time. Because of that, VTEC is initiating a NEW tardy policy, beginning August 23. Please click on the link to see the policy and consequences. Consequences for excessive tardies include loss of off-campus lunch privileges and detention. We will also be extending passing periods to help students make it to class on time. Punctuality is important in life and in school. Please help us by ensuring your student is at school on time each morning. Thank you
The VTEC Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant was written with stakeholder input ans support. The goal of the grant is to help mitigate the learning loss due to the pandemic and provide students an opportunity to get on track for graduation. Please click on the link to review. Mountain View's VISTA Dual Immersion program will help students learn academic content while acquiring a second language. Because of the teaching strategies that will be utilized, students will learn the concepts and skills needed at each grade level while developing the ability to read, write, speak, and listen in the target language. Students that participate in VISTA will become biliterate in both English and Spanish at the end of 6th grade.
