Look for an email from Powerschool.com - Snapcode. By updating your Powerschool contact information, you will have access to your student's:

School Supplies
Having all of your learning materials on the 1st day is important. Here are some quick tips:
- VUSD will provide basic school supplies and textbooks for all students.
- Bring your Chromebook on Day 1 –Grades TK-3 will have theirs at school already.

Volunteer
We have made it easier for families to volunteer through our Raptor Visitor and Volunteer Management System.
- A visitor is defined as an individual who attends a special event or a singular activity. Visitors need to check-in at each office with their Driver’s License or ID using Raptor.
- A volunteer is defined as a non-paid individual who, with District authorization, assists students, schools, or educational programs.
You only have to clear at one school to visit/volunteer for all of your students.

VUSD is providing all students with no cost breakfast and lunch each day. This is to ensure that your students can have balanced meals and focus on learning.

Dress Code
School has a dress code. Here are some reminders of what to avoid when shopping:
- Backless, strapless or tube tops
- See-through clothing with no undergarments
- Sagging pants or shorts that show undergarments
- Clothing that is over revealing of body parts regardless of gender
- Clothing which displays vulgarities, drugs and other illegal activities

Stopfinder
Know your student’s bus route with Stopfinder! Using our new bus tracking app allows you to:
- Set up your students Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and Geo Alerts to know the estimated time the bus is going to pick up or drop off your child.
- Access bus schedules for regular days, minimum days and late start days.
- Notifies you when your student is picked-up/dropped-off.

Important Times
We want you to be on-time for school each and every day. Below are some important time changes taking place this school year:
- All Elementary Schools will begin class at 8:10AM and be dismissed at 2:30PM
- There are no changes for Middle School or High School.

Cell Phone Policy
All VUSD schools will continue to implement our current cell phone use policy.
Students are allowed to bring cell phones on campus, but cell phones shall be turned off during instructional time.

Student Safety
Make sure to talk to your students about safety, whether they walk, take the bus, or are driven to school. It's important to stay alert and pay attention at all times.
Also, remember that our Say Something anonymous reporting system is a great way to securely report any safety concerns.
