Board Meetings

Visalia Unified Board meeting documents and videos may be found on Diligent Community, a board meeting agenda management platform.  The platform allows for easier navigation of Board meeting agenda packets, with intuitive and searchable design.

The community can now stay informed with the latest updates by subscribing to receive SMS and/or email notifications as soon as Board meeting agendas are published on Diligent Community.

During the 2023-24 school year, Board meetings are typically held once a month, with a few exceptions.  There are two meetings during the months of July,  August, and June.  Meetings are held in the Visalia Unified District Office Board Room, located at 5000 W. Cypress Avenue, Visalia. 

Board meetings open at 4:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted, before immediately adjourning to closed session. Should a member of the public wish to speak on an item on the closed session agenda, they are asked to arrive in person a few minutes before the 4:30 p.m. start time.

Regular Session of Board meetings starts at 5:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted.

Regular Board meeting agendas are posted at the District Office at 5000 W. Cypress Avenue, Visalia; on the district’s website; and on the district's Diligent Community platform at least 72 hours prior to a regular Board meeting.  Special Board meeting agendas are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. 

Each regular Board meeting will be video recorded by the District, the recording will be made accessible to the public within 48 hours of the Board meeting on Diligent Community and on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/@VisaliaUSD/videos.
