Visalia, CA - Visalia Unified, in partnership with the National Education Opportunity Network (NEON), proudly recognizes our students who have been inducted into NEON’s National Honor Society. These exceptional high school students have demonstrated outstanding academic performance by scoring in the top 20% of over 9,500 scholars nationwide enrolled in dual-credit college courses offered by Stanford University, Brown University, Howard University, University of Pennsylvania, Georgetown University, Wesleyan University, Cornell University, University of California, Morehouse College, Spelman College, Dartmouth College, University of Notre Dame, Arizona State University, and Barnard College.

“We are incredibly proud of these eight students for earning this national recognition. Their dedication to academic excellence reflects the very best of Visalia Unified and the learning that is happening everyday in our classrooms,” said Superintendent Kirk Shrum.
Eight VUSD students have been inducted into the NEON Honor Society. Students completed introductory courses in cloud computing, programming, and sociology from Arizona State University and Wesleyan University. The credits earned in these courses are widely transferable to a college or university of their choice.
