Bid Schedule

Welcome to the Visalia Unified School District Bid Information Page

The Visalia Unified School District welcomes qualified vendors and contractors to participate in its bidding opportunities. The District is committed to maintaining professional and cooperative relationships while obtaining goods, services, and construction projects at fair and competitive prices. We encourage both new and existing vendors to participate in our competitive procurement process.

All current bid opportunities—including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), plans, specifications, bid forms, and attachments—are posted below. Vendors are responsible for reviewing and downloading all documents and checking periodically for updates or addenda.

Public Advertisement and Bid Opening

Formal bids are advertised in the local newspaper and publicly opened at the date and time specified in the Notice to Bidders. Late submissions cannot be accepted.

Questions Regarding Bid Documents

All questions must be submitted via email to the contact listed in the bid packet. This contact may be a District or Architect representative and is the only authorized individual to respond. Phone inquiries will not be accepted.

Please copy bids@vusd.org on all correspondence to ensure proper routing. If clarification is required and cannot be answered directly, a written Addendum will be issued. Only information provided in a written Addendum is official and binding. Information from other District staff or end users is not binding and may not be relied upon.

Bid Requirements

Vendors and contractors are expected to comply with all applicable requirements for each bid, including but not limited to:

  • Valid contractor’s license(s) as required by the project specifications

  • Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration for public works projects

  • Proof of insurance and bonding as required in the bid documents

  • Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Failure to meet these requirements may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive.

Doing Business with the District

Vendors are encouraged to:

  • Register through Quality Bidders to receive notifications of new bid opportunities

  • Review all bid documents and attachments before submitting a bid

  • Submit all questions in writing to the designated contact
