Introducing Our New Financial Dashboard
VUSD is launching the Open Finance Dashboard — a simple, easy-to-use tool that helps our community see exactly how school funds are used. With clear charts, explanations, and near real-time data, anyone can explore where resources go and how decisions are made.
About the Dashboard
This dashboard isn’t just about numbers, it’s about transparency, trust, and teamwork. By involving families, staff, and community members in its design, we’re making sure the dashboard is fair, accessible, and meaningful for everyone. Together, we’re opening the doors to better understanding and stronger support for our schools.
What is a Budget
The budget is the Board approved plan for using resources to support student learning and growth, aligned with our Strategic Plan and Local Control Accountability Plan. It outlines the estimated revenues (money coming in) and expenditures (money going out) for a specific fiscal year, typically from July 1st to June 30th.
Why it Matters
Transparency Builds Trust
When our community can see how funds are used, it strengthens our partnership. This dashboard helps families, staff, and community members:
Stay Informed about how resources support student learning
Ask questions with confidence, backed by clear information
Collaborate on solutions that help every student succeed
Explore the Dashboard
It’s not just about numbers, it’s about working together to support our schools.
