Payroll

As part of Visalia Unified School District's Business Services Department, Payroll is responsible for paying nearly 5,000 employees including full-time, part-time, temporary, substitutes, and student employees.

In addition to employee compensation, payroll is responsible for monthly retirement reporting to California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS), California Public Employees Retirement Systems (CalPERS), and Public Agency Retirement Services (PARS).

In FY 2024-25 the Payroll Department issued the following:

• 4,702 Payroll Warrants
• 51,669 Automatic Payroll Deposit
• 5,239 W-2's
