Our Mission

To ensure all students receive reliable, consistent, and safe transportation throughout their education journey.

Transportation Registration for 2026-2027 School Year

Please use the link below and fill out the Transportation Registration Form to request school transportation for the coming 2026-2027 school year. All requests must be submitted by July 31, 2026. Please be advised, transportation services are not guaranteed. Submitted forms will be subject to approval based on home address and eligibility requirements as established by board policy.

Busing and Transportation Services

Our department provides a curb-to-curb transportation service for special education students.
Our buses travel over 850,000 miles annually and transport an average of 2,500 students daily.
In addition to the regular morning and afternoon routes, the district provides transportation services for various extra-curricular activities and sports trips.
Home-to-school transportation is approximately 20% of VUSD's student population.
Maintenance for 75 District owned school buses and an additional 235 maintenance, custodial, grounds, food service and other District owned vehicles.
Visalia Unified School District certified school bus drivers have a total of over 750 combined years of school bus driving experience.
