Payroll

As part of Visalia Unified School District's Business Services Department, Payroll is responsible for paying nearly 4,500 employees including full-time, part-time, temporary, substitutes, and student employees. In addition to employee compensation, payroll is responsible for monthly retirement reporting to California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS), California Public Employees Retirement Systems (CalPERS), and Public Agency Retirement Services (PARS).

In FY 2021-22 the Payroll Department issued the following:

  • 4,854 Payroll Warrants
  • 49,346 Automatic Payroll Deposit
  • 4,858 W-2's
