The committee is responsible for reviewing research designs (protocols) involving human subjects. The IRB is a committee that performs ethical review of proposed research involving human subjects. Review Process
The VUSD Institutional Review Board (IRB) Committee reviews these requests every two weeks, as needed. The review process shall determine:
- Potential risks to the dignity, rights and welfare of the participants.
- That the proposed safeguards against the risks are adequate.
