Eligible employees and their dependents are offered a comprehensive benefits package inclusive of medical, pharmacy, vision, dental, and access to our private Health & Wellness Clinic. Visalia Unified School District (VUSD) participates in the Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC) pool for health coverage through Anthem Blue Cross and pharmacy through Navitus. Delta Dental and VSP are our providers for dental and vision coverage.

Please review the Benefits Summary below for information on your benefit coverages. In addition, there are several value-added programs available to eligible employees through our providers. Information on the various programs can be found in the Value-Added Health Programs section.

Changes to your health and wellness benefits can only be made during open enrollment (typically July/August) or within 30 days from a qualifying life event such as a marriage, domestic partnership, birth or adoption of a child, or loss of other health coverage. If you have a qualifying life event, please reach out to your Benefit Technician for enrollment forms as soon as possible and no later than 30 days from the event date.
