What is Career Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a program that provides students with a multi-year sequence of courses designed to combine academic knowledge with hands-on technical and industry-specific skills. These courses prepare students for both post-secondary education and career opportunities, ensuring they graduate ready to succeed in their chosen fields.

Visalia Unified offers a variety of CTE pathways across all high schools, providing students with engaging learning experiences and valuable career preparation. Explore the links below to learn more about the CTE pathways available throughout the district.
