Services and Responsibilities -
- Keeps abreast of governmental statues, regulations and rules relating to administrative services and advises appropriate parties of the provision of the law;
- Draft and coordinate contracts with public and private sources including architects, inspectors, contractors, lease/purchase and lease agreements providers, and others;
- Review legislation affecting facilities use and implement changes as required;
- Prepare applications and reports for submittal to the State Office of Public School Construction, Office of the State Architect and the State Department of Education, as necessary to secure funding through the State School Building Program;
- Prepare accounting and reporting requirements for new construction and reconstruction projects;
- Coordinates construction projects with other governmental agencies, including the City Planning Commission, Real Estate Department, Board of Public Works, Board of Supervisors, and City/County Purchasing Departments;
- Confer with school principals and administrators regarding feasibility and timing of construction projects;
- Survey, coordinate and participate in development of time and cost estimates for new construction and modernization projects

- Inspect work in progress, oversee requisitions and ensure timely completion of maintenance projects;
- Confer with school principals and administrators regarding feasibility and timing of construction projects;

- Compile and submit Office of Public School Construction project Expenditure Reports;
- Create budget adjustments;
- Monitor revenue and maintain expenditures
Regina Lira
Special Projects Technician
Services and Responsibilities -
- Create budget adjustments;
- Assisting in the coordinating, planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating procedures and activities related to special projects and staff development.
- Coordinate facility projects with contractors, architects, inspectors, etc. in setting up contracts, files, budgets, requisitions, Purchase Orders and payment of all invoices for the projects, etc.;
- Prepare Board Agenda items for the School Board meetings
