No. The invitation you initially received and created an account with, will be populated when Stopfinder is fully launched.  You will not receive an additional email invitation. If your email has changed, you will need to update it on PowerSchool and request another invite via transportationsupport@vusd.org.

This app will be an incredible tool for our families, however, we wanted to make sure that the app would work to its full potential. Our transportation team needed to take a step back, geographically mark all of our bus stops, which meant, also reevaluating bus stops and need, and route every student to a bus stop. 

This is part of the safety feature parents will love. If your student tries to get on at the incorrect bus stop or in the incorrect bus, without prior communication from the parent to our team, the student will not be allowed on the bus. 

Families will need to create and/or submit a valid email address in PowerSchool to access StopFinder.  Please see the information below. You will receive an email from StopFinder when we launch with the app.

Please note that parents and guardians must set up a geo alert within the app to receive notifications about where the bus is and when it is near. Instructions on how to set up a geoalert can be found in the video below.

If you did not receive a Stopfinder invitation, here’s why:  we do not have a valid email address associated with your child.  Please contact your child’s school to give them your email address.

You can login to PowerSchool with your old login information and update your account. If you cannot remember your login and do not have access to your old email address, you  can contact your child’s school and ask to have your email address added to your child’s information. You will then be able to reset your password to your new email address.
