Summer Program
Summer is the perfect opportunity for students to either receive academic intervention, reinforce skills they are learning, or explore a variety of interests. We encourage families to register students and continue to stay connected with school throughout the summer.
VUSD Summer Intersession Program 2026
There will be two sessions available for current VUSD students, Enrollment will open on
March 16th!

Visalia Unified School District is excited to offer two engaging summer program options for current TK–6th grade students designed to strengthen academic skills while keeping students active, creative, and inspired.
Eligibility: Current VUSD TK-6 students
Program: Monday- Friday
2026 Summer Intersession Transportation Schedule

Session 1: June 9- July 3, 2026
- Morning Academic Program (AM or Full Day Option)
Students will receive focused instruction in Math and English Language Arts led by VUSD teachers and administrators to strengthen skills and build confidence for the upcoming school year. - Afternoon Enrichment (Full Day Option)
In partnership with California Adventure Camps, students may participate in engaging enrichment activities including STEM, VAPA, fitness, and hands-on collaborative learning.
Families may choose the schedule that works best for them:
• AM Only – Students attend the morning academic program and will be dismissed during the First/Lunch pick-up window.
• Full Day (Academic + Enrichment) – Students participate in both the morning academic program and afternoon enrichment activities.
Drop Off- Starts at 7:30 AM
Pick-up windows are:
- First/Lunch Gate: 12:00- 12:30 PM
- Second Gate: 3:00–3:25 PM
- Last Gate: 4:30–5:30 PM
The program officially ends at 5:30 PM.
- Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided.

Session 2: July 6- August 7, 2026
Session 2 will be fully facilitated by California Adventure Camps and will feature high-energy, hands-on enrichment such as sports, art, LEGO building, filmmaking, wilderness activities, Ninja Warrior Course, jiu jitsu, and more.
Drop Off- Starts at 7:30 AM
Pick-up windows are:
- 1st/ Lunch Gate: 12:00–12:50 PM
- Second Gate: 2:30–2:55 PM
- Last Gate: 4:30–5:30 PM
The program officially ends at 5:30 PM.
- Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided.

High School Summer Enrollment
We support our high school students in reaching their full potential by offering summer school. Whether they need to catch up, stay on track, or challenge themselves by taking a class that frees up space for an AP course next semester, we’re here to help. Students will work with their counselors to get registered and make sure they’re set up for success! Please contact your student's school for more information.
