VTEC is not a traditional high school. We are an ag-based, early college school, offering our students a "Hands-On" approach to learning with a focus on college and career readiness for each and every student who enrolls. We work closely with our local community college, COS (College of Sequoias), to enroll students into college level courses. Since VTEC limits its enrollment to 60 students per grade level, our learning environment is personal.
The Mission of VTEC is to give high school students a focused education that leads to a successful transition into college and career.
We believe that students learn best when they are engaged in high interest, meaningful curricular activities that are based on clear academic and technical standards.

VTEC welcomes high school students from Visalia Unified, Tulare County, and any county bordering Tulare County.
High school students who are English Language Learners, have IEP's, or 504 plans are welcome to apply.
If more students apply than seats are available, a lottery will be held in accordance with VUSD guidelines.
Applicants should not have a history of violence or major discipline issues.
