Career Planning

Visalia Unified School District offers an exciting array of programs that focus on agriculture, office technology, graphic communication, computer technology, health career education, electronics, and many other career areas.

School-to-career pathways benefit all students, including those planning to attend a college or university after graduating from high school.  The District also offers Tech Prep and Partnership Academics which allow students to take part in a four-year career program that leads to a community college associate degree or to technical certification.  This also leads to a 4 years college degree.  Students can take career-preparation courses and earn college credit through the "A2-plus-2" program.  In addition, a variety of Regional Occupational Program (ROP) courses designed for students 16 years old through adult are offered.  Anyone wanting more information, should contact the Visalia Unified School District’s School-to-Career Education Office at (559) 730-7515.
