On December 7th and December 14th, GLC will open for in-person learning for grades K-2 and grades 3-6, respectively. Parents have selected either full-time distance learning (FTDL) or in-person hybrid instruction for their child(ren). The resources on this subpage are for families of in-person hybrid students.
We have several resources that we hope provide families with everything they need to know. These include:
In-Person Instruction: What Families Need to Know (English) - Video
In-Person Instruction: What Families Need to Know (Spanish) - Video
In-Person Hybrid Instruction: What to Expect for Families (English & Spanish) - Flyer
Student Daily Pre-Attendance COVID Check (English) - Video
It is extremely important that families complete a daily COVID symptom check each day before coming to school. Here's how to complete the daily COVID symptom check:
If your child presents any of the following COVID symptoms, s/he must stay home from school:
- fever higher than 100
- cough
- shortness of breath
- sore throat
- heaache
- fatigue
- muscle pain
- runny nose/congestion
- new loss of sense of tast/smell
- nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
In this case, we recommend testing your child for COVID-19. Your child will need a negative test result and/or a clearance note prior to returning to school. Students who test positive, or are not tested, will need to meet the following criteria before returning to school:
- Isolate for 10 days after onset of symptoms
- Show no fever for 24 hours (without fever-reducing mediation)
- Present no COVID-19 symptoms
If you have ANY questions regarding the daily COVID symptom check or other sick day guidance, please call our office at 730-7768 to speak to our nurse. Thank you!
