GLC is authorized by and an integral part of the Visalia Unified School District (VUSD). As such, we serve the same mission as the larger district.

The vision for GLC was developed by a charter development team consisting of diverse stakeholders, including parents, teachers, administrators, and community members. At GLC, our vision guides us in all of our planning and decision making.

GLC strives to offer relevant, meaningful learning opportunities designed to prepare students to be successful in career and life. We believe in nurturing students' socio-emotional learning as well as their academic progress. We do this through providing relevant learning experiences within a personalized setting. Like many charter schools, we wrap our programs around a theme, for which we've chosen global learning.
