Welcome to the study of "7th Grade World History".  In this class, students will study the different cultures from around the world, their religious beliefs, government system, and way of life.  They will develop geography skills as well as the understanding of how people lived.  Students will learn to appreciate the different cultures and learn about the development of the world and how it came to be the way it is today. 

By the time the year is over, students will have covered the major geographic areas of the world by doing map works on the area of the world that we study (continents, oceans, major rivers, specific mountain ranges, certain deserts, and the main cities to the countries of our world).  Students must know some of the different cultures of the world and know where those cultures are located.  The world is just not about them.
