    Congratulations to the varsity softball team who defeated Hoover 5-2 on Tuesday in Fresno.  Offensively the team was led by Brooke Riggins who had 2 doubles, a triple, 3 runs, and a RBI.  Defensively the team was led by McKenzee Huff who pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts. Riggins and Kylee Filiponi also helped the team with outstanding defensive plays. Also, congratulations to the JV softball team for defeating Hoover 23-5.  Angelina Rodriguez and Brooklin Villasenor had a combined 6 strikeouts on the mound. Rodriquez also went 3-3 with 6 RBIs, Halie Gutierrez 3-3 with 3 RBIs and Kiana Reynaga and Avery Cline both went 2-2 with 2 RBIs.

     

    Staff and students, come out and support Jade Whitfield on Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 in the MW gym as she signs her National Letter of Intent to continue her Track & Field career at Oregon State University.  Cake will be served.

     

    Anyone interested in cheer for the 2020-2021 season, mandatory Cheer Clinics continue today from 4:30-7:00pm and mandatory Cheer Tryouts are tomorrow, March 13 at 4:30 in the MW Gym.

     

    Winter banquet dates:  Girls Basketball, today, March 12 in Room S-12 at 6:00pm. Varsity please bring a pizza; JV please bring a dessert; and Frosh bring drinks. If you have any questions, please see coach Lopez in U-3, and Boys and Girls Wrestling, Thursday, March 12 in the MW Cafeteria.

     

    Spring Sports picture dates:  Boys Golf, Thursday, March 26 at 4pm at Valley Oaks Golf Course.

     

    Teachers, please excuse the softball team at 10:45am, the bus will leave for Bakersfield at 11:00am, the baseball team at 2:30, the bus will leave for Golden West at 2:45, there is NO RETURN bus, the tennis team at 2:30 for home match vs. Golden West, and the swim team at 2:30 for home meet vs. Porterville.  On Friday, March 13, please excuse the Varsity Boys tennis team all day for the Visalia Tennis Invitational.  Thank you and good luck to all our student-athletes.
