Welcome to Mt. Whitney High School's Family & Consumer Studies Department!
We offer the following courses:
- Food and Nutrition
- Culinary I (formerly, Food Service and Hospitality)
- Cuinary II (formerly, Baking and Pastry)
Mrs. Bagley, Department Head, has been teaching all of the Foods and Nutrition courses at Mt. Whitney since 2005. She also oversees the Culinary Arts Pathway which includes the Lunchbox Bistro and the Pioneer Patisserie that handles a variety of catering services for various functions within the district.
Our classes will enable students to live independently, prepare and plan meals, be aware of their nutritional needs, and develop entry-level job skills necessary to succeed in today's society.
