AP Testing

How are some districts making the test more financially accessible for individuals and families who may not be able to afford it?

SB 1442 allows for one option for students who may not be able to afford the expense of taking the AP test. This bill drastically reduces the price for those students who qualify. Some districts encourage students to fill out the free/reduced lunch application, partly because of this reason. If a younger sibling in the district is eligible, then the high school brother or sister is also deemed eligible. Some schools have combined this option with other funding sources to financially support all students taking this test.
