Attached is the link for the 2021-2022 VTEC Bell Schedule. As in the past VTEC will have late start on Fridays, not Mondays, like the rest of VUSD. The reason for this is because of the partnership with College of the Sequoias and the need to have a schedule that is accommodating for students taking COS courses. Most COS courses are Monday through Thursday and this aligns well to the VTEC block schedule. If you have any questions, contact the office is (559) 622-3212.
One of the VTEC 6 C's is character. Part of having good character is being on time. Because of that, VTEC is initiating a NEW tardy policy, beginning August 23. Please click on the link to see the policy and consequences. Consequences for excessive tardies include loss of off-campus lunch privileges and detention. We will also be extending passing periods to help students make it to class on time. Punctuality is important in life and in school. Please help us by ensuring your student is at school on time each morning. Thank you

Every 10 years, a new U.S. Census is conducted, and the population counts are then used for redistricting. Trustee areas must be relatively equal in total population using the new Census counts. After new Census data are released, all jurisdictions must evaluate whether their current trustee areas (boundaries based on the last Census) have equal populations using the new counts. If not, trustee area boundaries need to be adjusted to re-balance trustee area populations.
Mountain View's VISTA Dual Immersion program will help students learn academic content while acquiring a second language. Because of the teaching strategies that will be utilized, students will learn the concepts and skills needed at each grade level while developing the ability to read, write, speak, and listen in the target language. Students that participate in VISTA will become biliterate in both English and Spanish at the end of 6th grade.
